Great Content, Terrible App
Comedy Central is packed with great shows and stand-up. Don’t get me wrong, if you want to watch quality shows, get this app. But the actual app itself seems like it was developed before iPhones were put on the market. There is no search bar for shows, so you have to scroll through a list of seemingly hundreds of shows to find the one you’re looking for. Autoplay does not work between seasons (s2 e1 will not play after the last episode in s1) if it even does work between normal episodes (which it sometimes struggles to do). The ads are also a serious problem. Comedy Central only has a small assortment of mainly local ads that it will play over and over again. For a while, the same 15 second Pizza Hut ad was looped 4 times in a row during every commercial break in a show. I am also having difficulty watching some shows. I am unable to watch all of season 6 of Reno 911. I get automatically dropped into season 5 and an episode starts playing, but when I try to scroll over to other seasons on the season scroll bar, it won’t change from the list of season 5 episodes for me to watch.
All in all, it seems like developers were too busy prepping for Y2K to create a usable interface.
